Day 2 - Mexico City

Travel to Xochimilco (1 hour)
Boat ride through Xochimilco - Glide through the historic canals of Xochimilco aboard colorful trajineras, a tradition that dates back to the Aztec era. Surrounded by floating gardens, music, and the vibrant life of the canals, experience one of Mexico City’s most distinctive cultural traditions.
Regenerative Agriculture Demonstration and Farm-to-Table Lunch - Step into the heart of Mexico City’s agricultural heritage at Arca Tierra, a regenerative farming project in the historic chinampas of Xochimilco. Meet Dani and Joy, who are cultivating the land using traditional and sustainable practices, and experience the connection between Mexico’s ancient agricultural traditions and local cuisine.

Travel to Master Glass Engravers (30 minutes)
Master Glass Engraver Experience - Meet master artisan José Cruz Guillén Peña, one of the few remaining practitioners of Mexico’s distinctive “pepita” glass engraving technique. Born into a family of glassmakers, José began learning the craft from his father and uncle when he was just eight years old, eventually dedicating his life to mastering a technique that demands extraordinary precision and patience. Watch as he works in this delicate craft and perhaps even try it for yourself!

Silversmith Demonstration - Step inside El Recreo, a Mexico City workshop dedicated to the art of fine silverware and traditional metal craftsmanship. Founded in 1944, El Recreo built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality silverwork. Over the years, the workshop has created pieces for distinguished clients, including the Pope, as well as commemorative pieces connected to the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico.
